Return of Tales from the Kitchen! 4/30 Behind Scenes @ TLily
At TigerLily we always try to have a good time filled with laughter and fun. The Kitchen @ the Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill acts as our “green room.” We @ TigerLily are always running in and out of the kitchen making sure the show is running just the way it should and more often than none some of the coolest funniest and awesome things are happening on stage and off stage simultaneously! You never know who you are going to run into! After 5 plus years TigerLily has become more than a show it’s a place comedians and comedy fans know they can drop by to see some of their favorite people, have a laugh on or off stage and hey just have a good time!

Comedy Minglings
** Yep we are back from a long hiatus, did you miss us? Look for a “best of the best of” Recap for the weeks we were taking a procrastinators holiday. So enjoy!
**One of the fun and great things about TigerLily is seeing all the comedians who come by to just support the show. Walking thru the kitchen you are sure to hear some of the funniest, oddest riffs/jokes that may or may not make it on stage one day. This week it was pretty surreal at one point we had Drew Carey in the kitchen riffing with comedians on the show while Zach Galifinakis was just outside TL chatting with Brody, Josh Comers and comedians. Gotta say our minds were blown!
** Another fun occurrence was super funny lady Tess Barker talking to Drew Carey about how just recently she and a bunch of comedians had been to the Price is Right for her birthday. TL friend comedian Josh Androsky got called on down and let’s just say their excitement for the show wasn’t just pure adrenaline…even funnier Carey knew all about it! Catch the PIR ep here http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_price_is_right/video/2229739933/the-price-is-right-5-2-2012
**Everybody was all abuzz about Zach being in the audience, back in the early days of TL (when it was at a place called TigerLily) he was known to pop in. There was a also a sound guy, writers, a camera. We can only assume this has something to do with a new project in the works? Something involving the awesome Brody Stevens? Hmm we hope so!
Caught in the Act

One thing that is great about TL is the possibility for super awesome comedians to just drop by and do a set. We were beyond delighted and equally surprised when we learned minutes before the show that Drew Carey would be stopping by. He had the crowd laughing with of all things the importance of the civil rights movement, lets just say that bus driver well he had it coming!

Michael Palascak is extremely funny and always a delight to see perform his cool casual delivery, this week he had us wanting to say “Frito-Lazy”every time we opened a chip bag! Don’t forget to watch his half hour comedy special on Comedy Central premiering Friday May 11th @ 11pm , we know it is most definitely going to rock!

We are beyond pleased that Nick Turner moved to LA, He has the ability to command an audience and make us giggle like we were school kids again laughing at the funniest kid in school! Nick Turner you are our number 1 Class Clown. If you haven’t been Turner’d yet we suggest you do soon, you don’t know the laughs you’re missing.

We all know Melissa Villasenor is a pitch perfect impressionist but what we also love is when we see Melissa herself, her exuberance and energy make her immediately likable and fun! We don’t know who would want to start a fight with Melissa but we imagine her self defense method that includes a dance off to an NSYNC song would most definitely make her the winner!

Josh Comers, Jason Nash, Brody Stevens keep it casual for the camera! All fellas are super funny comedians! Nash and Brody had super fun sets and well you can see Comers soon on TL! We adore these fellas!

The lovely Marianne Sierk rocked the house talking about the dating scene, she is always a joy to see! We at TL can’t wait to see her new web series called Print Models with comedian Heather Thomson, though still in production the concept sounds funtastic!

Blaine is the permanent host of TLily and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Be it his constant search for more sponsors for the show, his ability to channel Carol Channing make Jim Croce hilarious or reference classic TV shows of the 70s ah Blaine Capatch is just perfect and we love him at TigerLily.

Justin Ian Daniels is hilarious, this is just a fact, his stream of consciousness is a force to be reckoned with and his no hold barred approach to comedy is a delight to watch. If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing him perform..what are you waiting for?

Mo Mandel is a hilarious fella that is fast becoming a TL fave! He talked about the elderly being the safest drivers on the road, and well he will have us constantly wanting to say this phrase “Busting through the wall like I was looking for Anne Frank”

TL favorite and friend Barry Rothbart dropped in to close the show to “keep the party going” this time revealed his new mantra Montel Jordan’s “This is How We Do it” let’s just say sometimes its not just a party song…wait did things just get real?
