At TigerLily we always try to have a good time filled with laughter and fun. The Kitchen @ the Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill acts as our “green room.” We @ TigerLily are always running in and out of the kitchen making sure the show is running just the way it should and more often than none some of the coolest funniest and awesome things are happening on stage and off stage simultaneously! You never know who you are going to run into! After 5 plus years TigerLily has become more than a show it’s a place comedians and comedy fans know they can drop by to see some of their favorite people, have a laugh on or off stage and hey just have a good time!

Comedy Minglings

**One of the fun things about TigerLily is seeing all the comedians who come by to just support the show. Walking thru the kitchen you are sure to hear some of the funniest,oddest riffs/jokes that may or may not make it on stage one day. This week the kitchen was packed with comedians like Sean O’Connor, Morgan Murphy, Chelsea Peretti, Robert Buscemi, Doug Mellard, Danny Solomon,Nick Turner, Adam Cayton-Holland, Tom Sibley, Anthony Devries, Curt Neil just to name a few!

**the buzz around the kitchen was Downton Abbey Have you seen? If you haven’t why not? no seriously comedians really love masterpiece theatre , who said all those funny folks weren’t cultured.

** Also at the show was TL friend JP Buck talent booker for Conan who was there to watch Myq Kaplan run his set for his 2nd appearance on Conan which we gotta say he did beyond stellar at! Myq is also on the show Feb 20th!

** We were alerted to the fact that it was the 2nd time Jeanette McCurdy aka Sam on iCarly was at TigerLily (it does film down the street so). Yes we know it is a kids show but hey at least we knew Sean O’Connor and Jazz Ponce were happy about it.We love when “TV People” visit TL.

Caught in the Act


What an honor it was to have Davey Foley on the TigerLily stage. We were big fans of Kids in the Hall and Newsradio so needless to say we were ecstatic he could drop by. He talked about all the weird and interesting things he encounters while living in Downtown LA.


Pete Holmes is phenomenal he blew the crowd away with his energy and hilarious crowd work. But what he all had has damn near crying with laughter over was his fascination with Ryan Gosling. We aren’t going to say what it’s the price of but “50 dollars and a tylenol pm” still has us LOLing!


Ali Wong is hilarious her set was filled with relationship revelations and advice that we are sure made some people in the audience wish they were taking notes. But there is one thing we will all never forget the term “secret pussy.” Don’t forget to miss every scene stealing moment of Ali’s as one of the stars of the new show Are You There Chelsea? Weds 830pm on NBC.


An amazing thing about the kitchen area @ TigerLily is all the people just hanging out and catching up, plus always the opportunity for great photo ops. Here Morgan Murphy, Greg Proops (who killed it on stage that night) and TJ Miller pose for a picture.


Michelle Buteau hanging in the kitchen before her set. Michelle is lovely and damn funny. What we adore about her is her ability to be casual on stage watching Michelle perform is like having a conversation with your best friend always fun, non stop laughter, sometimes taboo,and you really just hate to see her go. Who wouldn’t want Michelle to be their best friend?


Greg Barris is one of a kind, he had the crowd “flying” on Monday and we were just really sad to see him end his residency. Greg is a TL family member and da best. If you are ever in NY you’d be a fool to miss his awesome show Heart of Darkness or check out L’asso for the best pizza ever. But what we will miss most of all is being able to say “babe” all the time with out getting a weird look.


Derek Jones is quickly becoming one of our favorites, he’s fun, charming, super funny and has probably one of the best jokes about Super 8 there ever was, seriously you must hear it!


Eddie Pepitone is always a treat when he comes on TL he wowed the crowd and we were delighted to see him perform one of our all time favorites: Lounge singer with post traumatic stress disorder= genius!


TJ Miller is part of the TigerLily family, the fact that he makes us cry till we damn near lose our breathe is one of the reason we adore him.(he is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet). This time TJ stopped by and analyzed a random contestant on an episode of Jeopardy.


Running around a busy show with a camera is tiring, sometimes we feel like a tourist or that one family member who has to take everybody’s pic @ Christmas. So yeah we can get annoying. But what we love is when our favorite comedians and friends of the show get into it.
